Road to Tokyo is an introspective journey about the future of skateboarding.
Directed in 2016 by Nixon Freire and produced by SOUTHSIDE, it tells the story of a skateboard/torch traveling from Spain to Japan, through the eyes of skaters who support skateboarding becoming Olympic and some who don’t.
Skateboarding was one of five sports to make an Olympic debut at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
